Q: How Do I know when the Care Mobile will be here?
A:  The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile currently visits 20 schools in Hamilton County and 2 in Bradley County:  Barger, Bess T. Shepherd, Birchwood, Blythe-Bower, Brown Academy, Calvin Donaldson, Clifton Hills, Dupont, East Lake, East Side, Hardy, Harrison, Hillcrest, Hixson, Orchard Knob, Red Bank, Rivermont, Mayfield, McBrien, Wolftever Creek and Woodmore.  It also travels to area churches and recreation centers during school and summer breaks.

Q: Who is eligible to be treated on the Care Mobile?
A:  It provides dental care to children, age 5-21, who have no dental insurance or are on state funded insurance.

Q:  How much does it cost?
A:  If your child has TennCare insurance, the Care Mobile staff will handle all the paperwork for your child's care to be paid for. If your child does not have dental insurance there will be no charge for treatment. No child in need of treatment is turned away because of an inability to pay.

Q:  How can I register my child to be seen on the mobile?
A:  You can call the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile at (423) 778-CARE (778-2273) for a Registration Packet.  Then complete the Registration Packet, which will include a Health History Form and Consent to Treat Form.  Finally, you can schedule an appointment!

Q:  What if I have more than one child and he or she does not go to one of the schools that the mobile currently visits?
A:  We would be happy to treat your child, please call to schedule an appointment at (423) 778-CARE (778-2273).

A:  No, that is what is great about doing it at the schools! And we have asked you to sign a consent form during registration.

Q:  Who staffs the Care Mobile?
A:  The mobile is staffed by a highly trained dentist and two dental assistants and in-take coordinator.

Q:  Is this a one-time deal?
A:  No, we will follow-up on all the children that we see and we will have a schedule that will let you know the next time that we will be visiting your child’s school.

Q:   Are services confidential?
A:  Yes! Everything is confidential such as the visits and records. And remember the family is never billed.

Q:  Do you have any services like this for adults?
A:  We currently do not offer this service to adults.
