Meet Anna, Natalie and Elisabeth 

After years of trying to conceive Kim and Chris Snow of Dalton, Georgia were surprised to learn last year that they were expecting triplets.  The couple knew through their fertility treatments that they would have twins but were pleasantly surprised when their doctor gave them the news that it would be triplets.

Kim and Chris are now the proud parents of triplets, Anna, Natalie and Elisabeth. The adorable trio was born 31 weeks early on April 7, 2009, each weighing just under 4 pounds. 

Kim and Chris are glad to have Ronald McDonald House as a place to stay while their babies get the medical care they need before they are able to go home.

“I am very stressed out about a lot of things right now. So it’s nice to have that part taken care of, ” says Kim Snow, mother of triplets.

Kim’s husband, Chris works as a plant manager for Shaw Industries during the day. Kim says they also have a six-year old son, Alex whom they adopted two years ago from the Ukraine.  For her, being able to participate in the care of her newborn triplets as well as maintaining a normal routine for their son Alex are some of the extraordinary benefits of staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

“Because it’s an unusual experience in your life. It’s not something very many people can understand and really share with you it’s nice to have people here that are going through it … you can talk to, ” she says.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room located inside T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital is also a safe haven for families to relax, refresh and recharge from caring for a loved one.

 “One day, it was lunch time and there was just a little bit of time between when I had my hands-on time with the girls and sure enough there was lunch waiting in the Family Room, it was nice, So I hung out there and rested, ” says Kim.

Each day at the Ronald McDonald House, 26 families find comfort in sharing similar experiences, daily healthy meals and access to a safe, comfortable place during an uncertain time in their lives. The average family stays at Ronald McDonald House for 15 nights, but some stay much longer.

Families are asked to contribute a $10 donation for each night of their stay although it costs Ronald McDonald House Charities $55 per day to provide its brand of hospitality for each family. For almost half of the families who stay at Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House, even that small amount is more than they can afford. However the doors remain open to everyone – regardless of their ability to pay.

Your Share-A-Night gift makes it possible for families to stay at the Ronald McDonald House regardless of their financial situation. The Share a Night Fund is critical to Ronald McDonald House Charities ability to serve families. The benefit provided to families include: savings on hotel costs, meals and transportation. And the support they receive from volunteers and other parents is, of course, priceless.
