Three year old Summer Cobb is battling cancer. Her parents are desperate to remain by her side... and without Ronald McDonald House Charities, they would have had a very difficult time staying close to her. Summer's mom, Jennifer says they spend on average of 10 nights out of a month in the hospital during Summer's oncology treatments. "We were stressed in the hospital and couldn't leave. We needed just a few minutes break so we used the Ronald McDonald Family Room when we needed something to eat," says Jennifer Cobb. Every year since 1990, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga has been offering “Hearts of Gold” ornaments with a unique and special message. The “Heart of Gold” ornament is a 24-karat gold-plated piece crafted to resemble a particular event or person. The ornaments are sold for a minimum of a $15 donation and come in a handsome red velveteen folder.
