“Keep up the good work! The Ronald McDonald Family Room really helped me through this traumatic time. Our friends and family live quite far away and can’t really make it out here very frequently so this made it a lot more comfortable.”

Who We Serve

Families Served
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga provides its services to those seeking healthcare in the greater Chattanooga area. The majority of those we serve reside in our home county of Hamilton County, or in counties in a 4-state area within a 75-mile radius of Chattanooga. However, the excellent healthcare in our area attracts patients from areas of the U.S. as well as occasionally from foreign countries. We are honored to be their “home away from home.”

In calculating the statistical impact Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga has had over the years, it’s important to know when each service began.
1. The Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House opened in 1990 with 14 guest rooms and was expanded to 26 rooms in 2000.
2. The Ronald McDonald Family Room was opened in 1996 to accommodate the needs of families caring for loved ones in the hospital.
3. Our academic scholarship program began in 2002.
4. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile was delivered in March 2003.

The map below highlights the geographical areas from which a majority of our families come.
