Mission Partners of RMHC have a long-standing relationship of funding and involvement with the charity that involves encouraging the general public to support the mission of helping families of critically-ill children.
The McDonald's Corporation, its franchise owners, operators, crew members, suppliers and customers have chosen RMHC as their "charity of choice" and encourage their involvement beyond monetary support in a variety of areas worldwide:
The 50+ McDonald's Restaurants in the Chattanooga Advertising Co-op, through all the fund raising efforts in their stores, annually raise approximately $400,000 or 25% of the annual budgetary needs of RMHC of Greater Chattanooga. The single-largest donor to our local charity, the McDonald's Chatt-Ad Co-op has helped to fund the building of the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House and its' addition, provided funds for the Family Room, Care Mobile and Scholarship Programs, and recently completed a commitment to a $556,000 endowment to the scholarship program.
The Coca-Cola Company was the first national donor to the Ronald McDonald House Program and continues to support the charity worldwide with the donation of their product for the refreshment of Ronald McDonald House guests. Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company also provides their product to RMHC-sponsored fundraising events.
Rock City has chosen RMHC as the charity partner for their annual Enchanted Garden of Lights. The Enchanted Garden of Lights is an award-winning light extravaganza that features more than 30 holiday scenes and transforms the garden's natural daytime splendor into a nocturnal fantasyland. This partnership includes a marketing co-venture with area McDonald's, and a portion of each ticket sale is donated annually to RMHC of Greater Chattanooga.
Proceeds from the sale of the Chattanooga Times Free Press in area McDonald's Restaurants and other marketing partnerships benefit RMHC of Greater Chattanooga on an annual basis. Times Free Press employees participate in and help manage a large fundraising effort during the organization's annual Day of Change event. The partnership includes advertising that promotes RMHC volunteerism, highlights donors, and markets events.
Lake Winnepesaukah and McDonald's share another co-marketing venture based on a coupon redemption program that benefits RMHC. With over 85 years of history and excitement, Lake Winnepesaukah is dedicated to providing a family fun atmosphere that's close to home and at a price the average family can afford. With recent additions of the fall Lake WinnepeSPOOKah and water park, SoakYa, this partnership continues to grow.
