Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a 40 foot, state of the art, fully-equipped mobile dentist office with its own dentist, dental assistants and office manager. The mobile travels to schools and other easily accessible locations in the community providing dental treatment to children. The staff will provide dental exams, cleanings, and x-rays, and carry out each child’s personal dental treatment plan.

Our goal is to ultimately improve the overall health of our community's children …one child at a time.”

Services Provided

• Provides dental care to children, age 5-21, who have no dental insurance or are on state funded insurance.
• Currently visits 20 schools in Hamilton County and 2 in Bradley County:  Barger, Battle Academy, Bess T. Shepherd, Birchwood, Blythe-Bower, Brown Academy, Calvin Donaldson, Clifton Hills, Dupont, East Lake, East Side, Hardy, Harrison, Hillcrest, Hixson, Orchard Knob, Red Bank, Rivermont, Mayfield, McBrien, Wolftever Creek and Woodmore. 
• Travels to area churches and recreation centers during summer and school breaks.
• Offers full-service dental care including:  screenings, exams, cleaning, x-rays, preventative and restorative care, referrals and follow-ups for serious dental needs.
• Acts to get rid of tooth decay, which remains the most common chronic childhood disease…five times more common than asthma.
